Police Officer Attempts Suicide Over Online Betting Debts
A police officer named Krishna Chaitanya, who works for an agency called HYDRAA in Hyderabad, tried to hurt himself very badly with his own gun.
He is now in the hospital getting help.
The police think he did this because he lost a lot of money gambling online and had money problems.
He had been arguing with his family and had been staying away from them for a few months.
Another police officer also lost a lot of money gambling and even had to give away his gun to pay his debts.

Krishna Chaitanya, a 32-year-old Armed Reserve Constable, attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol at his residence in Hyderabad.
He is currently admitted to a hospital and under medical care.
The incident is suspected to be due to debts from online betting and personal issues, as he had been arguing with his family and staying away from them for months.
Chaitanya is part of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), established in July 2024 to protect government assets.
The police are investigating the incident and are also looking into the issue of online betting addiction among police officers.
