Sam Curran In Line For England Test Comeback Against Pakistan
Sam Curran is a cricket player who is very good at both bowling fast and batting.
He plays for England, the national cricket team.
Sam hurt himself a little bit, so the team did not pick him for the first two games against Pakistan.
A selector named Marcus North said Sam has been playing a lot of cricket this summer.
Because he is a bit tired and has small injuries, England wants him to rest and get better.
If Sam feels better in time, he could play in the third game.
That game will happen in Birmingham from September 9 to 13.
Sam has not played this kind of game for England since 2021.
He has played 24 of these games before and scored 815 runs and taken 47 wickets.
England really wants him back because a famous player named Ben Stokes retired.
Sam Curran was left out of England's Test squad for the first two Tests against Pakistan because of fitness concerns.
England selector Marcus North said Curran remains an option for the third Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham, from September 9-13.
Curran recently missed a Hundred match for MI London due to injury after carrying niggles through a heavy summer workload.
Following Ben Stokes' retirement, North said Curran is valued for the balance he provides as an all-rounder, possibly batting at No. 6 or No. 7.
Curran last played a Test in August 2021 and has scored 815 runs and taken 47 wickets in 24 Tests.
