Tiruchanoor Hosts Annual Sri Sundara Raja Swamy Festival

The Sri Sundara Raja Swamy Avatara Mahotsavams, a big religious festival, has started in Tiruchanoor.

The celebrations included a special bathing ceremony for the deity in the Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam.

In the evening, a special swinging ceremony called Unjal Seva took place.

The deity was also carried around the temple streets on a big, special vehicle called the Pedda Sesha Vahanam.

Many people, including important temple officials, were there to celebrate the start of the festival.
