Trump Threatens 50% Tariff on Canadian Aircraft
President Trump is very upset with Canada because they won't approve some American airplanes made by Gulfstream.
He said that if Canada doesn't approve these planes quickly, he will make it much harder for Canada to sell their own airplanes in the US by putting a 50% tax on them.
He also said the US won't approve any Canadian airplanes anymore until this problem is fixed.
This is part of a bigger argument between the US and Canada about trade.
Canada hasn't said anything about this yet, and it's not clear if President Trump can actually do this.
There are a lot of Canadian airplanes in the US, and this could be a big problem for Canadian companies like Bombardier.
Trump threatened a 50% tariff on Canadian aircraft sold in the US.
The threat is in response to Canada's refusal to certify Gulfstream Aerospace jets.
The US would decertify all Canadian aircraft, including those from Bombardier.
Trump previously threatened a 100% tariff on Canadian goods if a trade deal with China proceeded.
Bombardier and Canada's transport minister have not yet responded to the threat.
