Defence Ministry Inks ₹2,000-cr Radar Deal with BEL
The Indian government is buying new radars for the Army to help protect against threats in the sky.
The government signed a deal worth ₹2,000 crore with a company called BEL to get these radars.
These radars will be able to spot airplanes, helicopters, and even drones that might be trying to cause trouble.
A big part of the deal is that most of the parts for these radars will be made in India, supporting local businesses.
This is good news for the Army because it helps them be ready to defend the country.
It also helps the Indian economy by creating jobs and encouraging companies to make important equipment.
The Ministry of Defence signed a ₹2,000 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL).
The contract is for the procurement of Air Defence Fire Control Radars for the Indian Army.
The radars will detect air-borne threats like fighter aircraft and drones.
The procurement supports indigenous defence industries with 70% indigenous content.
The deal will enhance the Army's operational readiness and contribute to economic growth.
