24-year-old Mumbai woman biker killed in Chhattisgarh hit-and-run

A 24-year-old woman named Riddhi went on a motorcycle trip with about 20 friends to a beautiful region called Bastar in India.

Early in the morning, a big heavy vehicle hit her bike and drove away without helping, which is called a hit-and-run.

Riddhi's friends quickly called 112, the emergency number in India.

She was taken to a health centre and then to a private hospital, but her injuries were so serious that she sadly died.

Riddhi lived in Mumbai, a big city in India, and was riding a motorcycle called a Bajaj Avenger.

The news reports do not completely agree on the details — one says the accident was in Balod district, while another says Dhamtari district.

The reports also disagree on whether she lived in Borivali or Kandivali in Mumbai.

Police are now looking for the driver of the heavy vehicle that ran away.

The mayor of Dhamtari visited the spot and promised to help Riddhi's family.
