UPPL Launches Campaign to Rebuild Base After BTC Election Setback
After not doing as well as they hoped in a recent local election, a political party called UPPL is starting a big road trip.
They are riding motorcycles all over their region to talk to people and get their supporters excited again.
They want to listen to people's problems, like fighting and drug use among young people.
The party also wants to talk about new ideas, like changing election districts and making sure people get justice for a famous singer.
This trip is to get ready for bigger elections in the future and show people what the party can do.
UPPL has launched the 'Resurgent UPPL; Resurgent BTR' campaign to reorganize its grassroots network after a setback in the BTC elections.
A week-long motorcycle rally aims to strengthen the party cadre and reconnect with voters before the 2026 Assam Assembly elections.
The campaign will raise awareness on issues including violence, IED blasts, and substance abuse in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Key objectives include demanding justice for Zubeen Garg, promoting ethical society, informing about the 125th Amendment, and delimitation of constituencies.
The UPPL aims to highlight its government's achievements and prepare workers to counter open gambling.
