Bamboo E-bike Blends Tribal Craft with Green Tech
Imagine a bicycle made mostly of bamboo, like the ones you might have seen.
Well, some people are making electric versions of these!
They're being created by a group called Water BANK and are set to be shown off on Jharkhand's birthday.
The bikes will have a motor to help you pedal up to 25 km/h and can go about 60 km on one charge.
They are made with bamboo, which is strong and grows fast, making it good for the environment.
The goal is to help local people by using their bamboo skills to build the bikes, offering a cheaper and eco-friendly way to get around, and potentially help vendors with their carts.
Water BANK Foundation is developing a bamboo-framed electric bicycle.
The e-bike will debut on Jharkhand Foundation Day in November.
It aims to blend tribal craftsmanship with green innovation.
The bike features a 25 km/h pedal-assist speed and a 60 km range per charge.
Local artisans will be trained to produce frames, providing new livelihoods.
