CRDA Allots 496 Returnable Plots to Farmers
The government gave back some land to farmers in Amaravati.
They used a fair computer system to decide who gets what.
The farmers had given their land earlier to build a new capital city.
The government promised that the land given back is good and not near roads or burial grounds.
Farmers can now go and register for their new plots without having to pay any fees.
The government has also started collecting more land to expand the capital city.
CRDA allotted 496 returnable plots to 275 farmers in Amaravati through an e-lottery system.
The allotment process was conducted in two sessions, with 115 plots given in the first session and 381 in the second.
Farmers who received plots were issued provisional certificates on the spot.
CRDA officials clarified that no plots had road cuts or were in low-lying areas or near burial grounds.
Farmers were urged to complete the registration process at the earliest with no registration fee charged.
