Denmark Reduces Eligible Jobs for Foreign Workers
Denmark has updated its Positive List schemes for 2026, which will reduce the number of job titles available for foreign workers.
The new list for highly educated workers will have 183 job titles, down from 190, and the list for skilled workers will have 57 job titles, down from 65.
These lists are used to determine which jobs foreign workers can apply for to get a residence and work permit in Denmark.
The lists are updated twice a year to reflect the current labor market needs.
The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) has also updated income statistics, which will be used to assess if the salary offered to foreign workers meets Danish standards.
This update will apply to applications submitted from January 1, 2026.
