Andhra Pradesh Focuses on Slum Development

The government in Andhra Pradesh is working to help people living in slums, especially during the rainy season.

The Minister for Municipal Administration, Ponguru Narayana, visited a slum in Nellore to see the problems people face when their houses get flooded.

He said the government will build a big housing complex in Visakhapatnam to solve this problem.

They are also planning to build similar houses in other slum areas.

The minister mentioned that 22 houses in Vaikuntapalem were flooded recently, and they are making arrangements to help those affected.

The Mayor of Nellore and other officials were also present during the visit.

Additionally, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy expressed confidence that the Congress wave would continue in the upcoming elections, citing recent gram panchayat poll results.

He also criticized the previous BRS government for ignoring ground realities and assured that the Congress government is focused on welfare and development, implementing schemes like the Indiramma housing project and infrastructure developments.
