Gen Z Drives Crypto Growth Among India’s New Investors

A report says many young people in India are starting to invest in cryptocurrency.

More than 120,000 new investors joined between January and June 2026.

About half of them were Gen Z investors aged 18 to 25.

These younger investors usually bought crypto and held it instead of selling it quickly.

Solana and stablecoins were especially popular with them.

Older investors showed different habits, with some focusing more on Bitcoin and Ethereum.

About 63% of users did not make any trades after buying crypto.

The report also found that crypto investing is spreading from large cities to smaller Indian cities.
