Hyderabad Stable Inspection Reveals Fewer Horses Than Expected
The government is investigating the health of racehorses.
After receiving complaints, officials visited a stable and found fewer horses than expected.
The company said some horses had already been given away.
The remaining horses at the stable were declared healthy, and were supposed to be transported out of the club the same day.
The original number of horses and their destinations are under scrutiny, prompting questions about their welfare.
GHMC inspected the stables leased by HithaNet on April 28 following complaints.
Only 14 horses were found at the stables during the inspection.
Records show 37 horses left the club between April 28 and April 30.
HithaNet officials claim remaining horses were given to trainers or individuals.
The 14 horses were reported healthy.
