Uttarakhand Revitalizes Border Village for Tourism
A long time ago, people had to leave their village called Jadung because of a war.
Now, the government wants to bring them back and make the village a nice place for tourists to visit.
They are building new houses in the style of the mountains and making sure there are good things for people who come to visit.
This will help the people who lived there before to come back and also make the village stronger and happier.
Uttarakhand government is reconstructing Jadung Village, depopulated since the 1962 Indo-China War.
Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) is building 23 houses in traditional hill style for displaced families.
Phase 1 involves constructing 6 houses in the Nelang Valley area, currently managed by ITBP.
The project aims to boost tourism, local economy, and cultural revival in the border village.
The initiative is part of the Central Government’s Vibrant Village Scheme.
