Harvard Scientist Released on Bail in US Smuggling Case

A Russian scientist named Kseniia Petrova, who works at Harvard, has been let out of jail while she waits for her trial.

She was stopped at the airport and accused of bringing frog embryos into the U.S. without permission.

Petrova says her boss asked her to bring the samples back from France.

She was detained by immigration officials, but now she's out on bail and can stay in New England while the case continues.

Her detention was part of a larger effort by the Trump administration to deport people, particularly international students and academics.
