Art of Living Program Transforms Women's Lives in India
Imagine a program helping women in India learn new skills to get better jobs.
It's called The Art of Living.
They learn things like how to be confident, speak English, and use computers.
This program uses yoga and meditation to help the women feel good about themselves.
Many women are now working as office assistants, in customer service, or as computer operators.
The program has helped them gain financial independence, and it is expanding to more places to help more women.
The Art of Living initiative trains women in Karnataka and Maharashtra with practical skills.
The Youth Leadership Training Program (YLTP) combines ancient wisdom with modern tools like Sudarshan Kriya, yoga, and meditation.
The program offers job-oriented training in spoken English, computer literacy, Tally accounting, and customer service.
375 women have been trained, with 202 receiving job offers and all receiving placement assistance.
