BTS' V Reveals 30% Hearing as Band Skips 2027 Grammys
BTS is a very famous band with seven singers.
One of them is V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung.
V told his fans that his right ear does not work as well as his left ear.
He said his right ear can only hear about 30 percent as well as his left ear.
He is going to the doctor and taking medicine to help his ear.
Another singer in the band, Jungkook, has a painful leg injury that could become a broken bone.
He said he will be careful so he can finish the band's tour, which ends in March in the Philippines.
The band also decided not to enter their songs for the Grammy Awards in 2027.
They said they want people to love their music for what it is, not because of where it comes from.
BTS member V (Kim Tae-hyung) said his right ear hearing has dropped to about 30% compared to his left ear, and he is now taking medication and going to the hospital regularly.
V said he first thought the ear problem was a matter of mental strength when he began experiencing it during the world tour.
Bandmate Jungkook revealed a shin injury with significant inflammation and possible microdamage to the bone that is on the verge of developing into a fracture.
Both revelations came during a livestream on Wednesday as the band performs on the ARIRANG World Tour, which concludes on March 16 next year in the Philippines.
All seven BTS members posted the same statement on Instagram announcing they will not submit their music for the 2027 Grammy Awards, hoping their music is heard for what it is rather than divided by region or language.
