Karnataka Congress Plans Protests Over MGNREGA Repeal
The Congress party in Karnataka is planning big protests against the central government's decision to stop the MGNREGA program.
MGNREGA is a scheme that gives jobs to people in villages.
The Congress says this is a bad decision and will hurt poor people.
They plan to march 5 kilometers in every part of Karnataka to show their protest.
The leader of the Karnataka Congress, D K Shivakumar, said they will also surround the BJP office or the governor's house on January 27.
Other important Congress leaders will join them.
They want the government to bring back MGNREGA because it helps people get jobs and earn money.
Karnataka Congress plans 5-km padayatras in every constituency against MGNREGA repeal.
Protests scheduled for January 27, targeting Karnataka BJP headquarters or Raj Bhavan.
Congress leaders D K Shivakumar, Randeep Singh Surjewala, and K C Venugopal to participate.
