Mumbai's Carnac Bridge Set to Reopen Next Week
Imagine a busy road in Mumbai with a bridge that got old and needed to be replaced.
They took it down and built a new one, bigger and better!
It's called the Carnac Bridge and it's going to open soon.
The new bridge has more lanes, so traffic should move faster.
They even saved some of the old bridge's stones to remember the past.
It took a while to build because they had to move some buildings out of the way, but it's almost ready to help people get around more easily.
Mumbai's Carnac Bridge is set to reopen next week after demolition.
The new bridge has four vehicular lanes, doubling the previous capacity.
Structural work is complete and load testing was successful.
Final approvals from traffic police and Railways are pending.
Basalt stones from the original bridge will be displayed.
