Rival Parties, Protesters Keep Soren Government on Edge in Ranchi
Some students and a political group called JLKM were protesting together in the city of Ranchi.
They were upset about things they believed were going wrong, and a leader named Mahto had even written letters about these problems to the chief minister.
On 29 July, the day of the students' first big march, Mahto said he was handing the movement over to the students.
But after that, the students and the political group started to disagree.
A student leader named Yadav said that people from JLKM were being influenced by their party's leadership and that they even took over the stage that was meant only for the students.
He said that was the last straw, so the students decided to protest separately.
JLKM's Chandan Kumar disagreed and said some students had vested interests of their own.
He also said Mahto had started the movement from Bapu Vatika on 25 July and led the first march that day.
Now the two sides are protesting separately, and their rivalry is keeping the Soren government on edge.
Student leader Yadav said he and 300 students arrived in Ranchi to organise the protest movement.
On 29 July, the day of the students' first march, Mahto announced he was handing the movement over to the students.
Yadav alleges JLKM party leaders, influenced by their party leadership, occupied the stage meant only for students, prompting the split.
JLKM's Chandan Kumar counters that some students have 'vested interests' and says Mahto launched the movement from Bapu Vatika on 25 July.
The rival groups' separate protests are keeping the Soren government on edge.
