Jagadish Reddy Alleges Telangana Power Crisis Is Returning
G Jagadish Reddy said Telangana is facing electricity-supply problems again.
He blamed the Congress government for not using the State’s power plants properly.
He said farmers, families and factories were experiencing interruptions.
Some people, he claimed, were using diesel generators when electricity was unavailable.
Reddy visited the Yadadri Thermal Power Station with other BRS leaders.
He called the plant an important achievement of the former BRS government.
He said Telangana’s generation capacity had grown substantially during that period.
He also questioned why coal was being sent to other States while Telangana plants faced difficulties.
The government’s response to these allegations was not included.
Former Minister and Suryapet MLA G Jagadish Reddy alleged that power-supply problems were resurfacing in Telangana.
Reddy accused the Congress government of failing to effectively use the State’s available electricity-generation capacity.
He said farmers, households and industries were facing disruptions, with some consumers relying on diesel generators.
Reddy credited the previous BRS government with increasing generation capacity from about 6,700 MW to around 21,500 MW.
He alleged that Telangana coal was being supplied to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka while local power stations faced constraints, and demanded disclosure of coal records.
