TG-RERA Extends Real Estate Project Deadlines by Four Months
The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, or TG‑RERA, decided to give real‑estate developers more time to finish their projects.
They added four extra months to the deadlines for projects that were due after February 28, 2026.
If a project was supposed to finish between February 28 and July 31, 2026, the new deadline is now November 30, 2026.
This change was made because the government said the West Asia crisis was a big problem that could stop work, so they treated it like a force majeure event.
Developers don’t have to apply again or pay extra money to get this extension.
TG‑RERA granted a four‑month extension to registration validity and completion timelines for eligible real‑estate projects.
Extension applies to projects with original or revised completion dates on or after 28 February 2026.
Projects due between 28 February and 31 July 2026 will now have deadlines pushed to 30 November 2026.
The move follows a Union Housing Ministry advisory treating the West Asia crisis as a force majeure event.
Developers need not file separate applications or pay extra fees to obtain the extension.
