Mandya Breast Milk Bank Remains Idle Four Months After Inauguration

A special breast milk bank was opened at a hospital in Mandya.

It was meant to help babies whose mothers cannot breastfeed them.

The building and basic facilities are ready.

However, the bank cannot start because three important machines are missing.

These machines would help make the milk safe and keep it cold.

The hospital receives about 250 newborn babies each month.

Between 30 and 60 babies may need extra breast milk.

Officials are asking the government to provide the money needed to begin the service.
