Maharashtra says Maratha students will get the same education fee benefits as OBC students starting in 2026–27.

The change is meant to make higher education more affordable.

The Directorate of Technical Education has sent instructions to institutions.

Students need to be eligible under the SEBC category and have a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate.

COEP Technological University has announced lower fees for eligible students.

For some specialized M.Tech.

courses, the fee will be ₹50,014 instead of ₹3,00,040.

For general M.Tech.

and M.Planning courses, it will be ₹25,994 instead of ₹1,15,890.
