India Reclaim Women’s Asia Cup Crown for Record Eighth Title
India won the Women’s Asia Cup again.
This gave India its eighth title, extending its record.
India is described as one of the tournament’s most successful teams.
The tournament has been played in the T20I format for six editions.
India reportedly won four of those editions.
Bangladesh won in 2018 by beating India in the final.
The article also says Sri Lanka won in 2022 by beating India.
However, it separately lists India as the 2022 winner, creating a contradiction.
India reclaimed the Women’s Asia Cup title and secured a record-extending eighth championship.
India is described as the tournament’s joint-most successful side, with no other team winning the prize more than once.
Since the competition adopted the T20I format, India have reportedly won four of six editions: 2012, 2016, 2022 and 2026.
Bangladesh won the 2018 edition after defeating India in the final.
The article inconsistently identifies both India and Sri Lanka as the 2022 champion, so that edition’s result is unclear from the report.
