Delhi Master Plan 2047 proposes three Multi-Modal Transport Hubs
Delhi is a very big city in India.
Many people travel every day using buses, trains, and the metro.
The city has made a big plan called the Master Plan of Delhi 2047.
This plan wants to build special places called Multi-Modal Transport Hubs.
At these hubs, buses, trains, and the metro would all stop close to each other.
That way, people can switch from one ride to another easily.
Three places were chosen: Anand Vihar-Karkardooma, Kashmere Gate, and Nizamuddin-Sarai Kale Khan.
The hubs would have walkways in the sky and tunnels underground to help people move safely.
The plan also wants to use computers and artificial intelligence to help manage traffic.
This should make traveling in Delhi faster and easier for everyone.
The Master Plan of Delhi 2047 proposes developing Multi-Modal Transport Hubs (MMTHs) where metro, bus, railway and other facilities are available close together.
Three locations — Anand Vihar-Karkardooma, Kashmere Gate and Nizamuddin-Sarai Kale Khan — will be developed as multi-modal transit hubs.
The hubs will integrate rail, metro, bus, para-transit and non-motorised transport to improve last-mile connectivity.
Transit agencies may amalgamate land and integrate modes within one building, with skywalks and subways connecting separate parcels.
The draft plan recommends Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and AI-based passenger and traffic management systems to support smoother movement.
