Erriyon Knighton Banned: US Sprinter Out for Four Years
Erriyon Knighton, a fast runner from the USA, has been banned from running for four years.
He tested positive for a muscle-building drug called trenbolone.
Knighton said he ate some meat that was contaminated, but the people in charge didn't believe him.
They thought it was very unlikely the meat caused the positive test.
This means he can't compete in big races like the Olympics and World Championships until 2029.
Knighton was also not selected for the 2025 World Championships before the ruling.
US sprinter Erriyon Knighton received a four-year ban.
The ban stems from a positive test for the banned substance trenbolone.
Knighton's defense of contaminated meat was rejected by CAS.
World Athletics and WADA successfully appealed a prior decision.
Knighton will miss the 2025 World Championships and 2028 Olympics.
