Noida to Launch 500 Electric Buses with 10-Minute Intervals
Noida, along with nearby areas, is planning to introduce 500 electric buses to make it easier to get around.
The local governments will create a special team to manage the buses.
Private companies will drive the buses, while the government will handle the money side, including the fares.
The whole project will cost a lot of money, but it is expected to run for 12 years, offering bus rides every 10-20 minutes, depending on the time of day.
The buses will run on set routes, helping people travel around the city efficiently.
An SPV will be formed jointly by Noida, Greater Noida, and YEIDA to manage 500 electric buses.
The project will cost an estimated Rs 675 crore, covering bus purchases and infrastructure.
Buses will operate on 25 routes, with varying frequencies based on peak and off-peak hours.
