India's Highway Construction Pace Slows in Recent Fiscal Year
Imagine the government is building roads, like a giant LEGO project.
They used to build a lot of road each day, but now they're building a bit less.
Last year, they built roads at a certain speed, and the year before that, they built even more.
The government is still working hard, but it is building less road each day than before.
They are trying to make super-fast roads to help move things around the country more efficiently, and they are building some brand-new roads to do it.

The pace was 34 km/day in 2023-24, and the highest was 37 km/day in 2020-21.
