Delhi SIR Notices Leave Voters Seeking Clarity Over Roll Verification

Delhi SIR Notices Leave Voters Seeking Clarity Over Roll Verification

Delhi is checking its voter lists through a process called the Special Intensive Revision.

More than 33 lakh voters received notices asking them to clarify information.

Some people could not be matched with the city’s 2002 voter list.

Others had differences in names or ages.

Voters can provide documents about themselves, their parents, or their grandparents.

The documents may include birth certificates, passports, or school certificates.

Officials say receiving a notice does not automatically remove anyone from the voter list.

Voters will have a chance to explain their situation and appeal decisions.

The final voter list is expected on November 4.
