Thane MACT awards Rs 35.24 lakh to family of deceased businessman
A man named Rakesh Gupta died in a motorcycle accident in 2021.
The court in Thane, India, decided that the person who caused the accident and their insurance company should pay Rs 35.24 lakh to his family.
The insurance company said Gupta was not careful, but the court did not agree because there was no proof.
The family said Gupta earned Rs 35,000 a month, but the court decided it was Rs 18,000 because there were no papers to show the real amount.
The money must be paid within one month with extra interest.
The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) in Thane awarded Rs 35.24 lakh to the family of Rakesh Gupta, who died in a motorcycle accident in 2021.
