Realtors Target Farmers Facing Land Acquisition For Adilabad Airport

Realtors Target Farmers Facing Land Acquisition For Adilabad Airport

A proposed airport near Adilabad will require the government to acquire farmland.

Some realtors are approaching the affected farmers.

They are offering to help farmers buy other farmland or plots.

The realtors hope farmers will invest the compensation money they receive.

Farmers do not yet know exactly how much compensation they will get.

Government officials say they still need to negotiate the rates.

At one meeting, 32 farmers were told that 29.19 acres would be acquired.

The government has approved ₹2,278.14 crore for the airport project.

In total, the project is expected to use more than 2,000 acres.
