Village Revenue Assistants Demand Rs 26,000 Salary, Regularization

Village Revenue Assistants, or VRAs, help with government work in villages.

Their association held a protest in Korukonda.

They said their work-related problems have remained unresolved for a long time.

The workers want a monthly salary of Rs 26,000.

They also want a regular government pay scale.

Some workers hired as nominees should be made regular employees, they said.

Eligible VRAs should receive promotions.

The association also wants VRAs included in all government welfare schemes.
