Deccan Gold Starts Production Trials in Kyrgyzstan
Deccan Gold Mines Ltd, an Indian company, has started testing its gold mine in Kyrgyzstan.
This is a big step because it's one of India's first gold mines outside the country.
They will process a lot of rock to get gold, which will be sold as bars.
The mine has a lot of gold, and the company's leader is happy because this shows India can be part of global gold mining.
They also want to make sure the mine is good for the local people and the environment.
This project is important for both India and Kyrgyzstan.
Deccan Gold Mines Ltd has begun pre-commissioning trials at its Altyn Tor Gold Project in Kyrgyzstan.
The trials will process 20,000 to 30,000 tonnes of ore with an average gold grade slightly above 1.0 gram per tonne.
Gold recovered will be produced as saleable concentrate or dore bars for early validation of process performance.
The Altyn Tor deposit has an estimated resource of 4.65 million tonnes grading 1.21 grams per tonne of gold, totaling about 180,000 ounces.
This project marks India's first overseas gold mining investment and aims to strengthen economic and strategic ties between India and Kyrgyzstan.
