NFR Enhances Rail Connectivity with New Infrastructure
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) made two big improvements to transportation.
First, they successfully delivered the first cement train to a new station in Nagaland, making it easier to get supplies there.
Second, they built a new bridge in Guwahati, Assam, which helps trains and cars move more quickly and safely.
The new bridge replaces an old one that was too narrow and caused traffic problems.
These projects aim to improve transportation in the region.
NFR unloaded its first cement rake at Molvom Railway Station in Nagaland on September 24, 2025.
The cement came from Telangana, covering a distance of 2,500 km.
The cement was for M/s North East Infra Network.
NFR inaugurated a new Road Over Bridge (ROB) in Panbazar, Guwahati, on September 27, 2025.
The new ROB cost Rs. 47 crore and replaces an older bridge to improve traffic flow.
