NFR Withdraws Guwahati-Sairang Express Timetable Change
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) decided not to change the schedule of the Guwahati-Sairang Express train.
The train was supposed to start leaving earlier in the morning, but many people, especially those who travel often, did not like this idea.
They said that the current night schedule is better because it lets them use their daytime hours in Guwahati.
The NFR listened to these concerns and decided to keep the train's schedule the same.
The change was supposed to start on January 1, but now it won't happen.
Some people also thought the change might have been because of a meeting between the Chief Minister and the Railway Minister, but the NFR decided to keep the old schedule instead.
NFR withdrew the proposed timetable change for the Guwahati-Sairang Express.
The train will continue to operate on its existing night schedule.
The proposed change would have made the train depart at 6 AM and arrive at 7:30 PM.
Commuters in Mizoram welcomed the decision to retain the night schedule.
The proposed change faced strong opposition on social media.
