Bihar Voter List Revision: One Lakh Voters Untraceable
The government is updating the list of people who can vote in Bihar.
They've found a lot of information about voters, like where they live and if they're still alive.
Unfortunately, they can't find about 100,000 people.
Also, they know that 2 million voters have passed away and 2.8 million have moved.
The Election Commission is doing this to make sure the voting list is correct.
The Election Commission (EC) is revising Bihar's voter list.
Approximately one lakh voters are currently untraceable.
Enumeration forms for 7.17 crore people have been received and digitized.
20 lakh electors have been reported as deceased.
28 lakh voters were found to have permanently shifted from their addresses.
