Philippines Protests China's Actions in South China Sea
The Philippines is upset with China because Chinese coast guard ships hurt three Filipino fishermen and damaged two boats.
This happened near a place called Sabina Shoal in the South China Sea.
The Philippines says China used water cannons and cut the boats' anchor lines, which is dangerous.
The Philippines will officially complain to China and ask them to stop these aggressive actions.
The United States also said they support the Philippines and think China's actions are wrong.
China says it controls that area, but the Philippines and other countries disagree.
A court ruled in 2016 that China's claims are not valid, but China doesn't accept that ruling.
China's coast guard injured three Filipino fishermen and damaged two vessels near Sabina Shoal in the South China Sea.
The Philippines will file a diplomatic protest and demarche to the Chinese embassy over the incident.
The US condemned China's actions, supporting the Philippines and calling them provocative and dangerous.
China claims almost the entire South China Sea, which overlaps with the exclusive economic zones of several neighboring countries.
An international tribunal ruled in 2016 that China's claims have no basis under international law, a decision China rejects.
