Tanya Simon Appointed Executive Producer of CBS News' '60 Minutes'
Tanya Simon, who has been with the show for 25 years, is now in charge of CBS News’ '60 Minutes'.
She's the first woman to become executive producer, a big role that means she's now in charge.
She took over after the last person in charge left.
This change is happening while the company that owns the show is dealing with some big issues, like a lawsuit from Donald Trump that they settled.
The company also wants to merge with another company, which requires government approval.
Tanya Simon is named Executive Producer of CBS News’ '60 Minutes'.
Simon is the fourth executive producer in the show's 57-year history.
Simon is the first woman to hold the executive producer role.
Simon has been with the program for 25 years, serving as interim EP since April.
The appointment comes after a settlement between Paramount Global and Donald Trump.
