Reliance Power, Infra Shares Drop After ED Raids in Loan Case
Imagine two companies, Reliance Power and Reliance Infra, that are part of a bigger group of companies.
The government's money detectives, called the Enforcement Directorate (ED), think these companies might be involved in something fishy.
They suspect a large loan, about ₹3,000 crore, was taken improperly.
Because of this, the ED searched many places in Mumbai connected to the companies and people linked to Anil Ambani.
The companies said this won't change how they operate.
They also said Anil Ambani isn't on their boards and they have no connection to other related companies.
Reliance Power and Reliance Infra shares fell 5% after ED raids.
The Enforcement Directorate conducted raids related to a ₹3,000 crore loan fraud.
The raids are part of a money laundering case against companies linked to Anil Ambani.
Over 35 premises in Mumbai are being searched under the PMLA.
