Musi Bridge Delays Impact Hyderabad Residents
There's a big river called Musi in Hyderabad, India.
The government planned to build a bridge over it to connect two areas, Bandlaguda Jagir and Attapur.
This bridge was supposed to help people travel easier and reduce traffic.
The previous government started the project, but the new government hasn't continued it.
Now, people are having to take risky detours because the bridge isn't being built.
There are also other bridges in Hyderabad that are facing the same problem.
Construction of a high-level bridge over the Musi-Esa rivers in Hyderabad has been stalled since 2023.
The bridge was intended to connect Bandlaguda Jagir and Attapur, easing traffic and improving connectivity.
The project was sanctioned by the previous BRS government but has not progressed under the current Congress-led government.
Residents are forced into risky detours due to the lack of the bridge.
At least 13 other bridge projects in Hyderabad are facing a similar fate.
