Nine workers injured in Jharkhand steel plant furnace explosion

On Sunday afternoon, something very dangerous happened at a steel factory in India.

A big machine called a furnace exploded.

A furnace is an extremely hot oven that is used to melt metal.

When it exploded, hot liquid metal splashed onto nearby workers.

At least nine workers were burned by the hot metal.

Two of them were hurt very badly and were taken to a big hospital in a city called Ranchi.

A safety official named Manish Sinha said people will investigate what went wrong.

They want to find out why the explosion happened so they can keep workers safe in the future.
