Paytm Launches Gold Rewards, Stock Price Drops
Paytm, a company that lets you pay for things online, has started giving out gold coins.
Every time you use Paytm to pay, you earn gold coins worth 1% of the transaction.
You can collect these coins and turn them into real digital gold.
This is Paytm's way of making it more rewarding to use their services, especially during the festive season when people often buy gold.
The company hopes this encourages people to save and invest.
However, after announcing the new program, the company's stock price went down.
Paytm launched a Gold Coin rewards program.
Users earn Gold Coins for every payment made on Paytm.
100 Gold Coins can be redeemed for Re 1 of actual gold.
The program includes payments made via UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and net banking.
Paytm shares fell 2.45% after the announcement.
