Google Founders Move Businesses Out of California
Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founders of Google, are moving many of their business companies out of California.
They are moving them to Nevada.
This is because there might be a new rule in California that would make very rich people pay a special tax.
This tax would be 5% of all their money.
Some people think this tax is a good idea, but others think it will make rich people leave California.
Larry and Sergey still have some connections to California, but they are spending less time there.
Other rich people, like Peter Thiel and David Sacks, are also moving some of their businesses to other states because of this possible tax.
Larry Page and Sergey Brin are moving their business entities out of California to Nevada.
Brin moved 15 companies and Page moved 45 companies out of California.
A potential ballot measure in California proposes a one-time 5% wealth tax on billionaires.
Gov. Gavin Newsom opposes the measure, while Rep. Ro Khanna defends it.
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, accepts the wealth tax, unlike other billionaires.
