Muthoot Finance Shares Drop 11% Amid Gold Price Softening
Muthoot Finance is a company that gives people loans using gold as collateral.
Today, its shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange fell a little more than 11 percent, which means investors paid less for each share.
The drop made the company’s stock worth about 26 percent less than it was at the start of the year.
Different financial experts have different ideas about how much the shares should be worth in the future, with some saying they could reach as high as Rs 4,500 and others as low as Rs 2,425.
The company’s managers say they plan to open 500 to 600 new branches next year to reach more customers.
Because gold prices are not as high as before, the company’s earnings might not grow as fast, so the experts recommend holding onto the shares rather than buying or selling them right now.
Muthoot Finance shares fell 11.31% to Rs 2,767 on the BSE.
The stock’s year‑to‑date decline reached 26.19%.
Brokerage targets range from Rs 2,425 (360 One Capital) to Rs 4,500 (Bernstein).
Analysts recommend a HOLD rating with a target price of Rs 3,000.
The company plans to open 500–600 new branches in FY27.
