Indian Markets Rise as Rupee Weakens Amid Global and Domestic Cues
On May 29, 2025, India's stock market had a good day with the Sensex and Nifty going up.
This was because of a positive outlook in the global market after a U.S. court's decision and money coming into the market from foreign investors.
However, the value of the rupee fell slightly against the U.S. dollar.
This was because of a stronger U.S. dollar and the cost of oil.
The market's gains were also helped by buyers' interest in IT stocks.
Experts say that a combination of different things influenced the market on that day.
Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty, rose on May 29, 2025.
The Sensex increased by 320.70 points, while the Nifty 50 gained 81.15 points.
The rupee weakened, closing at 85.29 against the U.S. dollar.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹4,662.92 crore on May 28.
Positive global sentiment and foreign fund inflows supported the market.
