IndiGo Reports Q1 FY27 Loss Amid Fuel Costs
IndiGo, a major airline in India, recently reported a net loss of Rs 238 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027.
This is a significant change from the previous year when they made a profit.
The main reasons for the loss are higher fuel costs and problems with their flight routes in West Asia.
Despite these challenges, IndiGo's revenue from ticket sales and other services increased by about 20%.
The airline served over 31 million passengers during this period.
IndiGo's managing director, Rahul Bhatia, mentioned that while there are short-term uncertainties, the company is focused on long-term goals like improving their flight network and providing better services to customers.
The airline also has a strong cash position, which is a positive sign for the future.
IndiGo reported a net loss of Rs 238 crore for Q1 FY27, compared to a profit of Rs 2,176.3 crore in the same period last year.
