Thailand, Cambodia Continue Border Talks Amid Conflict
Thailand and Cambodia are having important talks to stop the fighting at their border.
They have been fighting for over two weeks, and many people have been hurt or had to leave their homes.
Both countries blame each other for starting the fights.
They had a deal to stop fighting in October, but it didn't work very well.
Now, they are trying to make a new agreement to keep the peace.
The talks are happening at a checkpoint near their border and will last for three days.
If they succeed, their defense ministers will meet next week to discuss more.
The fighting has been getting less intense, but there are still some small fights happening.
Unfortunately, two Thai soldiers were hurt by a landmine, and another Cambodian civilian was killed.
Thailand and Cambodia began three-day military talks to revive a ceasefire amid ongoing border conflict.
At least 86 people have died and over 650,000 have been displaced due to the fighting.
Both countries accuse each other of aggression and violating a previous ceasefire agreement made in October.
The talks are taking place at a checkpoint near the southern stretch of their 817-kilometer border in Chanthaburi province.
If successful, defense ministers from both countries are expected to meet on December 27.
