NEET-PG 2025 Updates: Cut-offs, Counselling Delays
The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a case that was trying to challenge the new passing marks for the NEET-PG 2025 exams.
The new rules lower the passing marks for different groups, including a zero percentile for some reserved categories.
The person who filed the case argued that these changes were unfair and could lower the quality of medical education.
However, the court said that the issue had already been decided by another court and that the new rules were made to fill more seats in medical colleges.
Meanwhile, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has put on hold the Round 3 choice filling for NEET PG 2025 because of a pending matter in the Supreme Court.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has also extended the deadline for document verification for Karnataka NEET PG 2025 Round 3 to January 31, 2026, and the choice filling window will be open from February 2 to February 5, 2026.
Allahabad High Court dismissed a PIL challenging NBEMS' revised NEET-PG 2025 cut-offs.
Revised cut-offs: General (7th percentile), PwD (5th percentile), SC/ST/OBC (0th percentile).
MCC suspended NEET PG 2025 Round 3 choice filling due to a pending Supreme Court matter.
KEA extended the document verification deadline for Karnataka NEET PG 2025 Round 3 to January 31, 2026.
