Prosecutors allege political motive in Charlie Kirk shooting

Prosecutors allege political motive in Charlie Kirk shooting

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, was shot at a Utah university on September 10, 2025.

Prosecutors say the shooter, Tyler Robinson, targeted Kirk because of his political and religious views.

Kirk is known for his opposition to gay marriage and transgender rights.

Prosecutors presented evidence, including a text message from Robinson and engraved messages on bullets, to support their claim.

The defense argues that the evidence does not prove Robinson's motive.

The next court hearing is scheduled for September 1, 2025.
